Meet the Founder!
Hi! I’m Garret Towe and I began Helping Hands for Kentucky in 2024. I graduated from the University of Kentucky with a B.S. in Neuroscience in May of 2024 and was a part of DanceBlue through my time there. I currently work at a local clinic as a Medical Assistant and will one day be able to serve our community and this great state as Physician.
Apart from my professional day-to-day, I love spending time outdoors with my two dogs, traveling, visiting family, or cooking for my friends!

Through my work as a Medical Assistant in various settings I have had the privilege and opportunity to work with an array of populations and see the multitudes of barriers that prevent them from healing through proper care due to issues in accessibility. Helping Hands for Kentucky was started in order to better help with the issue of access to medical equipment and supplies that can be quite costly–or inaccessible as a whole–to the amazing families of Kentucky.
